Great design. The key to increased sustainability.

Many people do not think that one of the most effective ways to increase the sustainability of products is to extend their life. It applies to everything from the clothes we buy – if we use them for 5-6 years instead of 1-2 years reduces the climate footprint significantly – to all the stuff surrounding us. If we can extend their lifespan, there will be significant climate savings.

We work hard on this at Mousetrapper, and it presupposes that we make sure to think about it in the early design phase of new products – both the environmental impact and how to give the product a long life. It means using suitable material, such as producing all new products in recycled plastic, but it also means ensuring that it is easy to replace the hardest worn parts and thus extend the life of our products.

One example is the wrist support of the Mousetrapper that becomes tired and worn out after many years of use. By exchanging them for new ones, you do not have to discard the product, and you get a fresh Mousetrapper that can work for many more years. With great design from the start, a lot is achievable.
