Big challenge = suppliers.

From a global perspective, being a small technology producer company in Sweden, it is not so easy to always get what you want when discussing with different suppliers. Many components in a Mousetrapper are manufactured by large suppliers, where we are a minor player. But there are also suppliers who listen to us, where, for example, the company that moulds our plastic parts really makes an effort to reduce the climate footprint of their products. The fact that we can now produce more and more in recycled plastic is an important step; another is that the company in Estonia, which to a vast extent relies on fossil energy production, has chosen to buy fully renewable energy.

Lots to gain with the right suppliers

Even though we are a small company, we believe we can have influence. The wind is blowing our way, and more and more large producers are starting to set high environmental requirements, which will eventually benefit us.
It is important to have a clear idea and goal that our partners and suppliers can easily understand to succeed. We have already won some victories – remember, a year ago we were proud of a battery cover in recycled plastic – now we can produce entire products.
So we strive, in large and small, to cut at least 6-7% of our climate footprint per year. We will not give up.
